The members of the Aviation Insurance Offices Association (AIOA) have elected Peter Butler, underwriting executive at Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers, as their new chairman. Nick Brown, director at Redholm Underwriting, has been elected deputy chairman.
Outgoing chairman Graham Nichols commented on Butler's appointment: "Peter takes on this role at a challenging time for both the association and the aviation insurance industry.
"I have no doubt his long experience in this sector, coupled with his work as deputy chairman throughout my term, will equip him well for it."
The appointments were made at AIOA's annual general meeting yesterday.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
