Alexander Forbes consultancy arm AFP Consulting has linked up with Beachcroft Wansbroughs Consulting and regulatory consultant CSTARR to launch a scheme aimed at helping brokers obtain FSA authorisation.

The scheme consists of a series of modules designed to guide brokers step-by-step through preparation for FSA regulation.

It is also designed to help already regulated brokers to extend the terms of their FSA authorisation.

The modules include a series of publications that will be issued periodically to guide insurance brokers through the process.

Richard Carroll of AFP Consulting said "It's a user manual that will help brokers to interpret what are very arduous documents. We will also stage seminars."

Carroll said that the modules would cost brokers £1,000.

Beachcroft Wansbroughs Consulting managing director Oliver Lodge said: "The programme is clearly targeted at insurance brokers - it's focused on them and the timeframe they are working within in order to gain FSA authorisation by 2005."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
