South African financial and risk services group Alexander Forbes has deployed a claims management solution from insurance IT specialist, August Group.

Alexander Forbes said it planned to use August's augANISER system within its service solutions division to streamline its claims processing operations. Employees would be able to update claims documents from their desktops which, according to August, would reduce exposure to operational risk.

Liz Finan, managing director of service solutions at Alexander Forbes, said: "Providing fast, efficient and secure cross-departmental access to all claims-related information is critical to the further improvement of our service to both internal and external customers."

August Group chief executive David Ives said: "Control of businesses processes is fundamental for a global company the size of Alexander Forbes."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
