Third party car management company Allen Fleet Services has launched a new service called Unicall that promises to cut a company's fleet management costs by 30%.

It predicts that a company running a fleet of 18 vehicles on a three-year contract hire and maintenance agreement could save up to £17,000.

Unicall offers a single point of contact for companies and drivers alike. It is based on a simple charge card. Customers only pay if they have used the service and there is one monthly invoice for the entire fleet and an expenditure analysis for each vehicle.

Unicall covers vehicle recovery, reminders, servicing, replacement parts, road fund licence and fuel management.

Allen Services is linked to a 20,000 strong network of suppliers and dealers such as the AA, RAC, Unipart Car Care Centres, Kwik Fit and Halfords.

It estimates profits of £20 million in the next two years, but the pressure is on having invested £500,000 on the launch in software alone.
