Sir Alan Collins to take up role from 14 November

Amlin has appointed Sir Alan Collins as an independent non-executive director of Amlin with effect from 14 November 2011.

Previously Collins was managing director of Olympic Legacy for United Kingdom Trade and Investment. Some of his past roles have been ambassador to the Philippines and high commissioner to Singapore.

Amlin chief executive Charles Philipps said: “While this year’s performance has been impacted by an exceptionally high level and frequency of catastrophe events, the overall outlook for underwriting returns is improving and we remain a strong business which is more than capable of delivering excellent returns for shareholders.”

 

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
