Darren Marshall joins Aon as demand rises
Aon has hired former RK Harrison broker Darren Marshall as power construction leader.
Marshall will be based in London and report to Hamish Roberts, global chief executive of Aon Risk Solutions’ power team.
In his new role, Marshall will work with Aon’s power specialty teams in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, USA and Canada. He will help clients manage their construction risks across nuclear and renewable power construction projects, following an increase in demand in this area.
Marshall has more than 18 years’ experience dealing with construction engineers, lenders, project developers, lawyers and underwriters. As well as RK Harrison, he has also worked at JLT in both market- and client-facing roles.
“We continue to invest in the team in order to meet our clients’ specialist needs. This appointment further bolsters our position as the foremost broking team to the power industry worldwide,” Roberts said in a statement.
He added: “I look forward to welcoming Darren to our team. His market experience and expertise, added to that of our existing team will further develop the breadth of service Aon can deliver to our power clients.”
