The Association of Run-Off Companies has appointed three new board members

The Association of Run-Off Companies (ARC), the UK body for insurance and reinsurance legacy management professionals, has announced three new board appointments and the decision of ARC deputy chairman, Peter Abbott, to step down.

The additions to the board include Nick Stimpson, divisional director of discontinued operations at Capita CMGL, Mark Everiss, a partner of law firm, Kendall Freeman and Clare Whitcombe who is a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Peter Abbott is leaving the board following his departure from Compre Administrators at the end of June in order to embark on new ventures external to the run-off sector.

ARC chairman, Philip Grant, commented: “I would like to wish Peter well with his new venture. He has had a distinguished career within the run-off sector and I would like to thank him for his invaluable participation with ARC over the last two years; it has been a pleasure to work with him.

“At the same time, it is a great testament to all involved with ARC that people of the calibre of Nick, Mark and Clare are keen to become members of the board. I would like to extend them a warm welcome and I greatly look forward to working with them.”
