Sussex broker Argyll Insurance Group is set for further expansion in Kent after the acquisition of Sittingbourne-based broking and IFA business Edward Jones and Associates.

Edward Jones founder Ted Jones said the key drivers behind his decision to sell were establishing and maintaining the infrastructure to handle regulation and training, as well as the difficulties smaller brokers face in accessing market capacity.

The purchase follows Argyll's acquisition of another Kent-based broker, Pharon Insurance, last year. A deal with Gillingham-based The Walker Satterford Partnership is set to follow at the end of July .

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
