Learner soldier veers into family garden fence in Norfolk
MOD insurers have to pay for a fence knocked down by a Spartan Armoured Personnel Carrier driven by a learner driver at Letheringsett, Norfolk, the Guardian reports.
The vehicle had 'L' plates attached to it, said army officials. A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said the driver had apologised to the owners of the house, Phil and Jayne Jones.
Phil Jones said the fence had been mended and he was discussing payment with MoD insurers.
