Lloyd's said it exposure to losses caused by the Asian tsunami would be “limited.”

In a statement released today Lloyd's said it has been in contact with its market insurers since the tragedy occurred.

As a result of the consultation period Lloyd's said a “significant proportion” of the estimated net loss of £100m would within businesses' planning assumptions for expected catastrophe loss costs.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
