Clive Edwards to replace the retiring Russell Griffiths
Aspen Insurance Holdings has promoted Clive Edwards to the post of head of UK commercial insurance.
Edwards is replacing Russell Griffiths, who is retiring on 31st March 2009.
Edwards has been with Aspen since the company was formed in 2002. An experienced development manager and commercial lines underwriter, he has been writing non-marine commercial lines insurance since joining Commercial Union in 1980.
Edwards has also held market development and account management positions at London & Edinburgh, Norwich Union and Midland Bank Insurance Brokers Limited.
Matt Yeldham, head of international insurance, said: "I am delighted to announce Clive’s promotion to Head of UK Commercial Insurance, where he will oversee the continuation of the prudent underwriting strategy that has made the team so successful since their arrival at Aspen.
"I would also like to thank Russell for the significant contribution he has made to Aspen during his seven years at the Company."
