Avery to head Cox

Cox has appointed Julian Avery as chairman, completing its new senior management line-up.

Avery has vast experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, and was chief executive of Wellington Underwriting before retiring last year.

Cox's chief executive Neil Utley said: “We are delighted to have found such an outstanding chairman in Julian. He joins us at the beginning of an exciting new era for Cox under our new ownership structure.”
