Aviva wants to grow market share by helping brokers win and retain business

Phil Bayles - Aviva

Aviva has moved to grow its share of mid-market business by launching ‘Aviva Premier’ to brokers.

The insurer said its new product will provide brokers with a range of tools to help them win and retain more mid-market business.

Aviva said it recognised the demand from brokers for a more bespoke service separate to its offering for more standard risks.

Aviva director of broker distribution, Phil Bayles, said: “Aviva already has a strong presence across the mid-market sector but the feedback from brokers was that within this market there are some clients who require a more tailored arrangement.

“As a result we have designed ‘Aviva Premier’ – available across our wide range of commercial products, delivering better service, wider cover, an individual claims service as well as better trading tools to help brokers and their clients. We are primed and ready to write this business to give brokers the competitive edge to win more mid-market business.”

He added: “Throughout the year we’ll also be introducing significant policy wording improvements to a variety of industry segments – starting this month with professional services, business services and machinery and equipment.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
