Bosses at Aviva's London headquarters were treated to a Christmas carol service with a difference last month when over 20 members of staff and Amicus members serenaded the company with a list of woes resulting from offshoring.

The singers sang the traditional Christmas tunes, but registered their disapproval of the insurer's decision to employ 2,500 in India by changing the words.

Though many of the lyrics used have since been drowned in Christmas cheer Backchat would be happy to receive suggestions for songs penned to any insurer or broker.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
