Insurer chips into offer six new routes in Perth to cut traffic

Six new bus services will take Aviva employees to the firm’s Pitheavlis offices in Perth from areas not previously covered by a direct bus route, the Courier reports.

The six services will cover Letham, Craigie, North Muirton, Burghmuir and Tulloch, as well as rural communities such as Crieff, Blairgowrie, Bridge of Earn and Dunning.

Aviva and Perth and Kinross Council have subsidised the routes to cut car traffic.

Benefit the local community

Aviva’s Ian Ferguson said, “We now have a bus network that increases the transport options for employees, which will mean there is less dependence on the car. Fewer cars on the roads will mean less congestion, which will benefit the local community.”
