Mandy Langton named head of product development

AXA Commercial Lines has made three senior hires to drive its broker and e-commerce proposition and bring new products to market.

Mandy Langton has joined AXA Commercial Lines as head of product development from broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson UK. Langton spent 11 years at JLT, most recently as as divisional managing director responsible for the development and growth of the commercial affinity and volume division.

Jason Bridgman joins the business as head of e-commerce from insurer Groupama, where he was as e-commerce manager responsible for delivering e-trading facilities.

Ken Wright has rejoined AXA Lines from Ignition NBS, an AXA-owned broker marketing consultancy, to lead the development of the AXA Commercial broker proposition. Prior to his three year tenure as a regional development director at Ignition, Wright spent seven years at AXA in a number of senior roles with responsibilities including branch revenue and joint broker business planning.

The three new executives report to Alasdair Stewart, commercialdDirector at AXA Commercial Lines.

“Developing and executing the right proposition for our brokers is fundamental to our future success and Ken will play a pivotal role in driving this initiative,” Stewart said in a statement.

“We know our brokers expect us to be at the forefront of product development and our strategy is focused on two key areas - simple SME products traded electronically and complex products manually underwritten in our branches. Mandy will lead the development programme in both areas. This will, of course, involve working closely with Jason who is driving our e-commerce proposition to ensure we continue to make it easier for our customers to trade with us.”
