AXA Insurance has confirmed that it plans to close five regional offices by 30 September.
The insurer said it also expected to cut 'around' 200 jobs by the end of the year.
The offices to close are Sheffield, Southampton, Maidstone, Cardiff and Carlisle.
In a statement AXA said it is looking to "further improve efficiency and service within its client services activities through process improvements and consolidation within its broker branch network and its commercial direct business, AXA Solutions".
