Two new regional schemes heads for AXA UK

Insurer AXA UK has appointed Michelle McTeer and Brendan Clark as regional schemes managers for the north and south respectively.

These are newly created roles and are part of AXA’s push into schemes. AXA said the appointments are the first of a “raft of new hires” in the schemes team, and more appointments will be announced “in due course”.

Both McTeer and Clark already work for AXA. McTeer, who will be based in AXA’s Leeds schemes hub, has worked at AXA for more than a decade and was previously operations manager for the Leeds branch.

Clark, who will operate from AXA’s hubs in Reading, Ipswich and London, joined AXA in 2013 as operations manager for Reading and Maidstone.

AXA UK intermediated and direct chief executive Brendan McCafferty said: “Schemes business plays a vital role in the future of our commercial arm. Our aim is to use our expertise from the wider business to find areas of untapped potential.

“Michelle and Brendan are the perfect people to drive our new proposition forward and I’m excited about the exciting new schemes opportunities their appointments will bring.”
