Backchat was delighted to have been invited to the Citigate Drew Rogerson quiz night last week, and duly turned up with three colleagues from the editorial team.
And he was surprised to find how competitive the evening was. In fact, one insurance weekly was so desperate to do well that it fielded three ‘ringers' in the four-man team, who are well known on the pub-quiz circuit.
Justice was done. After a disastrous first round music section, Backchat and chums clawed themselves into mid table respectability – just pipping the ringer-filled rival to the post.
