Barbican adds underwriting manager to healthcare division

Barbican Group has appointed Chris Brooking as an underwriting manager in its healthcare division, with immediate effect.

Brooking was a class underwriter at Catlin, where he was responsible for building the group’s healthcare portfolio. He began his insurance career at Catlin in 2003 and became a class underwriter in 2009.

He will report to Barbican’s head of specialty, Stuart Quinlan.

“The healthcare arena is competitive, but we see significant opportunities there,” Quinlan said. “Chris has worked in the sector since the start of his insurance career and has established a strong reputation for client service. I am confident he will play a key role in helping us strengthen our position in this sector.”
