Barbican launches insurance academy

Barbican Insurance Group has launched the Barbican Insurance Academy, an initiative for existing and new employees of the insurer to improve on their industry knowledge and skills.

The initiative includes an apprenticeship programme that will focus on all areas of underwriting as well as insurance and the Lloyd’s market.

The process will also allow participants to attain the CII Certificate, in addition to achieving the L3 NVQ in Providing Financial Services.

Barbican Insurance Group chief executive David Reeves (pictured) said: “It is a privilege to be able to announce the launch of the Barbican Insurance Academy. The goal of this initiative is to help young professionals develop their skills and abilities, and by so doing build the solid foundations they will need not only to grow but also to thrive in the insurance market of today and tomorrow.”
