MD Howard Lee said it was a sign of the broker’s commitment to professional standards

Baxters has gained the status of Chartered Insurance Brokers by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

The Willis Commercial Network member that offers both personal and commercial lines said the status helped highlight the importance of developing personal and technical skills.

Managing director Howard Lee said: “We are delighted and honoured to be awarded this prestigious marque by the CII. Having been around for many years, we understand that customers rely on us to ensure they are suitably protected. This can only be achieved by fully understanding their requirements and to achieve this we must ensure that our teams are suitably equipped to provide a level of service and advice that our customers, rightly, have come to expect.

“We therefore understand the importance of ensuring our employees have the tools available to them to develop their personal and technical skills. All Baxters’ broking staff are members of the Chartered Insurance Institute and over 50% have secured professional qualifications through examination. A number of our staff continue with study towards qualification, and all undertake a programme of continued professional development.”
