Jonathan Agnew will not stand for re-election
Lloyd’s insurer Beazley has begun the search for a new non-executive chairman following Jonathan Agnew’s decision not to stand for re-election at the firm’s 2012 annual general meeting.
Agnew has been a non-executive director of Beazley since 2001 and chairman since 2003.
Agnew was previously a managing director of investment bank Morgan Stanley and also chief executive of rival firm Kleinwort Benson.
He has previously been a chairman of Lloyd’s insure Limit (now part of QBE), Gerrard Group and Nationwide Building Society.
He is currently chairman of Ashmore Global Opportunities, The Cayenne Trust and LMS Capital and a senior independent director of Rightmove.
He was a member of the council of Lloyd’s from 1995 to 1998.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
