Ian Hall and Andrew Mackie join BGL

The BGL Group has appointed Ian Hall and Andrew Mackie as e-commerce managers.

Hall and Mackie will improve the websites of BGL’s in-house brands BUDGET, Ibuyeco and Dial Direct, managed by the Frontline business unit.

Previously Hall was internet marketing manager at Steel City Lighting where he was responsible for online strategy development. Mackie previously worked in online marketing for several insurance firms.

Frontline managing director Andy Bord said: “As a company we strive for constant innovation with our technology and distribution techniques and the experience of both Andrew and Ian will be invaluable for us as we look to explore new and cutting edge online strategies for our brands.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
