Plans to expand further into the commercial vehicle market

BGL Group has unveiled plans to double its commercial vehicle customer base by 2015 and expand further into the commercial vehicle insurance market.

Growth will come from increased customer numbers for its enhanced in-house brands, Budget Insurance and Dial Direct.

Improvements have been made to Budget Insurance and Dial Direct which include courtesy vans as standard, for up to seven days, on all new policies for all claims including theft and total loss.

BGL is also extending its insurer panel for the brands.

Frontline managing director Mark Townsend said: “We are committed to our Commercial Vehicle expansion plans and see all of our new developments as a way for us to really dominate the market and meet our challenging goal of doubling van business by 2015.

“We will work alongside our insurer partners, enhancing the data we provide, to allow them to continue to supporting our growth plans.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
