Double digit growth places brokers in mid-market ranking
Towergate and BGL Group have been identified as two of Britain’s top mid-market companies after featuring in The Sunday Times Top Track 250.
Towergate ranked 39th after operating profits grew 29% to £135.5m, while sales were up 7% to £439.1m last year.
BGL Group leapt 27 places to rank 42nd. Sales grew by 19% to £428.6m and operating profit by 12% to £117.2m in the year to June 2012.
The Top Track 250 ranks private British companies with a turnover of between £130m and £650m. Companies must be profitable and report a greater than 10% increase in sales or operating profit in their latest accounts.
The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
