New management team will be led by Chris Butcher and Tony Pickering

UK-based broker Cooper Gay has brought together the management of its non-marine and energy operations in the UK to create a new international management team.

While the established non-marine and energy divisions will continue to function independently under their existing operational structures, management has been centralised. Cooper Gay said the move is aimed at enhancing client service and boosting organic growth.

Chris Butcher, chief trading officer for Cooper Gay & Co, has been appointed managing director of the new international management team, while Tony Pickering has been appointed chairman of international. Butcher and Pickering will work with Steve Jackson (Latin region) and Malcolm Harvey (Europe and AAA), who will continue to support the growth of both non-marine and energy business.

Cooper Gay's interim chief executive, Shaun Hooper, said in a statement: “Aligning these two highly respected, specialist operations under one management team will not only strengthen internal effectiveness, but will also drive growth through a strategic, cohesive and customer-focused approach to international service delivery.”
