Biba has scheduled a meeting of professional indemnity (PI) insurers for early in May to discuss how brokers can reduce claims against themselves.
Earlier this month the broker body announced it had teamed up with Alexander Forbes Professions, FirstCity and Towergate to launch a Biba-tailored PI scheme.
Graeme Trudgill, technical services manager of Biba, said: "We have invited all the insurers to talk to us about policy wordings and how we can work towards reducing claims against brokers. We want to get insurers' views on the minimum level of cover required and get advice on how to improve standards."
