Biba members to benefit from trade credit management deal

Midlands broker Perkins Slade is to provide a trade credit management scheme exclusively for Biba members.

The scheme will allow association members to pool trade credit risks and submit them through Perkins Slade, with the insurer Atradius offering coverage.

The credit insurance deal is one part of a wider scheme that also provides Biba members with access to business finance, bonds, credit reports and collections.

Perkins Slade signed an agreement promising not to take any other lines of business from clients of Biba brokers, even if it is approached directly by the client.

Biba technical services manager Steve Foulsham explained: “Many of our smaller members are not experts in this class of business, but Perkins Slade is now able to provide more than just credit insurance with the additional range of solutions to help provide financial security for our members’ clients.”
