Appoints Simon low as senior terrorism, war and political risk underwriter

Ark Syndicate Management has appionted Simon Low as senior terrorism, war and political risk underwriter at Ark Syndicate 4020.

Prior to joining Ark, Low was the class underwriter at Wellington Syndicate 2020 and was responsible for the running of the terrorism, war and political risk department.

Low was with the Janson Green Syndicate for six years and was involved in the political risk, terrorism and aviation war accounts. He started his career in Lloyd’s in 1988 with the Merritt Group where he worked on the underwriting of the aviation and political risk accounts whilst assisting with the mitigation and resolution of the contract frustration claims.

Speaking of the appointment, Ian Beaton, chief executive commented: “In this time of heightened security concerns, international unrest and political violence Ark is looking to continue the Lloyd's history of providing insurance protection for our clients’ assets and the revenue streams they provide.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
