Trade body waiting for more information on Quinn Insurance
Biba says it will update brokers on Quinn Insurance when it receives more information.
The Irish Financial regulator today issued a statement confirming that it has directed Quinn Insurance Limited to cease writing new business in the UK.
Existing UK policyholders will not be affected by this decision as existing policies will remain valid and customers can make claims in the normal way.
Biba chief executive Eric Galbraith said: “According to the Irish Regulator, claims are still being paid and consequently policies are being honored, as and when we learn any more, we will let members know.”
