Axa-owned group buys again

Bluefin Insurance Services has acquired the general insurance business of Lakeland Insurance Advisers .

Based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, Lakeland Insurance Advisers has 1,400 clients and deals principally in commercial SME and personal lines insurance.

Lakeland directors Kay Lancaster and Tracy Benson will join Bluefin effective 6 May 2009.

This latest acquisition further increases Bluefin’s presence in Cumbria, where it also has an office in Kendal.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
