If there ever were a real-life James Bond 007 agent, he would probably have to ditch the Aston in favour of a cab or a bus.

Research by Virgin car insurance has revealed that Bond would be landed with a massive insurance bill which would leave him shaken and stirred. According to Virgin, Bond's annual premium would be £7,000.

Zurich has also calculated Bond's premium. But someone told the insurer about 007's risky driving history.

According to Zurich, a 40-year-old Aston Martin DB7-driving civil servant, based in London with advanced driver training, could secure Zurich insurance, but with a premium likely to be way above £7,000.

Most women would like to see Bond catching a bus or tube with the rest of the riff-raff.

So Backchat says push those premiums sky high and give all commuters something to smile about in the morning.
