The social broker hopes to develop the function throughout 2016
Social media enabled broker Bought By Many is to launch an automatic policy suggestion tool to customers who log in to the site with their Facebook profile.
The broker, which uses Facebook analytics to build and market schemes, will automatically suggest extra cover to its users based on the information available on their Facebook profile.
For example, if a customer signs in with their Facebook profile to buy travel insurance for Crohns disease sufferers, but is regularly posting photos of a pug puppy, Bought By Many will suggest they look in to its Pug Puppy cover as well.
Speaking exclusively to Insurance Times, Bought By Many founder Guy Farley said: “This is the first step in to immediate profiling through Facebook. We will be releasing this in Q1 of 2016, but we really hope to build on it going forward.”
