Broker switches from Sirius system
Bridge Insurance brokers said more of its trading will be done electronically following its switch to the Acturis IT system.
The Manchester-based broker, which specialises in corporate insurance, has completed an upgrade of its complete back office system after carrying out a full evaluation of the marketplace.
Peter Warburton, Bridge director, said the company is keen for more e-trading after switching from the SSP-owned Sirius system to Acturis.
“We will be doing a lot more schemes work through the system and hoping to expand that side,” he said.
“It allows us to trade with the courier for the scheme on a more direct basis.”
Scott Fosberry, chief information officer at Bridge, added the transition to Acturis was a smooth process.
“We have been amazed at the amount of information transferred from our old system on to Acturis, he said.
