Andrew Jackson joins as head of direct broking from Marsh

Brightside director of direct broking John Gannon is leaving the broking group at the end of May.

Gannon (pictured) joined Brightside in 2001 and will return to Australia.

Brightside chief executive Martyn Holman said: “On behalf of the board, shareholders and colleagues, we would like to express our thanks to John, a founding member of the Brightside Group, for his energy, commitment and contribution to the success of the company. We wish John and his family all the best on their return to his native Australia.”

Gannon will be replaced by Andrew Jackson, who will join the Brightside senior management team as head of direct broking on 1 May.

Jackson previously spent 17 years at Marsh.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
