Underwriters join Brit from AIG UK and Lexington

Brit Insurance has appointed Neil Russell and Joachim Tolle as underwriters in its global markets business unit.

Russell was most recently at Lexington Underwriting Company where he managed its North American Property accounts at Lloyd’s. He will continue to specialise in North American property at Brit and will report to Tom Rowley, North American open market class underwriter.

Tolle joins Brit Insurance after three years at AIG UK (now Chartis) where he had responsibility for major financial institutions accounts. He will report to Neil Beaton, financial institutions class underwriter.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
