Broker Gateway, which gives member brokers access to insurer markets, has gone live with Misys' OASys e-Quotes across motor.

The company is planning to launch the facility for commercial vehicle and household in the near future.

OASys e-Quotes enables Broker Gateway to provide its sub-agents with instant and competitive online quotes from a panel of insurers and electronic point of sale documents.

Steve Western, Broker Gateway managing director, said: "Since we started using the facility at the beginning of July, business has trebled. Average transaction times for motor [have been] reduced by as much as two thirds and we plan to reduce this even further."

Mark Ryder, commercial director, Misys General Insurance, said: “The Broker Gateway is one of an increasing number of brokers that are demonstrating their appetite for web trading.

"Over the last 12 months...the number of contracts for our web quotation products has doubled to include major brokers such as Insure & Go, MCE and Protectagroup and increasingly the more ambitious smaller intermediaries.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
