Focus on securing future business

The Broker Network 2007 national conference opens today at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre near Cambridge.

The conference theme is “Securing the Future – A 21st Century Business”. The two-day event will give delegates the opportunity to consider the importance of forward planning and the need to conceive strategies capable of dealing with inevitable industry changes.

Alongside chief executive of Broker Network, Grant Ellis, speakers include Dragons’ Den star Doug Richards who will explain why he believes that winning in business is about implementation of ideas and the ability to be methodical.

Also appearing is Roger Martin-Fagg who will relate the economic issues involving the emerging markets of both India and China to the everyday running of UK businesses.

John Kitson, sales and marketing director of Norwich Union, will be speaking from his pivotal position within the insurance market. Considering the future of the industry, Kitson will explore what opportunities exist for brokers in this vibrant and ever changing market.
