This is a final call for all UK brokers to have your say on what you really think of the service you get from your insurer partners.

The Broker Service Survey for personal lines brokers will close this Friday 5 September and the commercial lines survey is due to close on 19 September, so don’t hesitate.

Now is the time to tell us if your insurers are delivering. We want to know:

  • Do you get a good quality of cover for your customers?
  • Who has the more straightforward policy wording?
  • Who is most flexible in their approach to underwriting?
  • Who gives out reams of documentation with far too many exclusions?
  • Who has the most efficient claims process and who is most likely to repudiate claims?
  • And can you get hold of a decision maker when you need to, or are you stuck dealing with call centre staff?

Whether you place business, handle claims, run a company or work in an administrative function, we want to hear from you. Whatever commercial lines business you place – from property and motor to professional indemnity and business interruption – we want to know how you rate your insurers.

Share this information anonymously with us and give your insurer partners all-important insight.

As a thank you for filling out the survey, all broker will receive complimentary access to this year’s Top 50 Brokers report – worth £199 – and be entered into a prize draw for £100 worth of John Lewis vouchers.

The Broker Service Survey

The BSS is a comprehensive report of how UK general insurers are viewed by their broker clients. It is published annually by Insurance Times, the leading media brand in the sector.

The BSS is essential reading for capacity providers in UK general insurance, and a crucial research tool for your business, both to identify your own performance and that of your competitors.

The BSS is separated into Personal Lines and Commercial Lines reports to reflect the different requirements of these business lines. Responses are split into statistical analysis and unattributed verbatim comments, analysed in detail by our research team.

The reports are ranked by insurer to allow users to view their own results and those of their competitors. It adds up to an unrivalled level of detail on insurer performance.
