Budget Retail made three broker acquisitions in October, bringing a further 4,500 personal lines policies on to its books

Castle Insurance in Upminster has been transferred to Budget's Dagenham branch with all staff.

Suddards Davies and Associates in Morley, West Yorkshire has sold off its personal lines business, which will be transferred to Budget branches in Baildon and Brighouse in West Yorkshire.

Budget has also bought Initiative 2000, in Rotherham, which will be managed throughout the Budget network.

Budget Retail managing director Matthew Donaldson said: "There is still a very active acquisition marketplace.

"The completion of the CDL roll-out is certainly supporting our ability to take on a more diverse portfolio of business, like Initiative 2000, which with a nationwide niche proposition will be integrated into our nationwide system."
