Capita Insurance Services has announced an alliance with The Claims People (CPG) in an arrangement that will see CPG providing volume loss adjusting services and support to Capita's corporate and complex loss business, Teceris.
Capita said as part of the development, six volume liability claims handlers will transfer from Teceris to The CPG in the next few weeks.
Dermot Joyce, executive director of Capita said: "This deal reflects a general market acceptance that volume and complex loss adjusting are distinct and that they require substantially different approaches.
"CPG will be an alliance partner in the volume loss adjusting arena to support us with our existing workload as well as work alongside us as we grow our business."
Capita also announced that Teceris will be recruiting ten specialist loss adjusters to join the business over the course of the next four months.
The company said these include a number of people from GAB Robins Construction and Engineering and Specialist Liability operations together with other industry recognised major loss and BI experts from the UK market place.
