Zenith will underwrite Capita’s pet insurance policies
Zenith Insurance, part of Markerstudy Group, has replaced AXA as the underwriters for Capita’s pet insurance policies.
The appointment is Markerstudy’s first major piece of business outside of the motor market, and will see it underwrite a share of Capita’s 400,000 pet insurance policies in the UK.
Markerstudy group underwriting director Gary Humphreys said: “This is our first major deal outside the motor market and pet is a great class of business to kick off our expansion into new lines.”
Capita director of pet insurance Rachel Mulheron said: “Having Zenith on board will enable the insurance providers we work with to continue delivering the highest quality of cover to pet owners across the UK. Renewal migration is already underway with completion on schedule for mid 2014.”
Capita currently offers pet insurance through a panel of nine insurers including Aviva and LV=.
