Private Equity firm owns more than a quarter of shares
Jelf's private equity backers Capital Z Partners has taken a stake in the company of close to 28%, it has emerged.
The move pushes Cap Z closer to the 30% threshold which would require it to make an offer for broker's entire shareholding.
This morning, Jelf said Cap Z has voting interests in 21,540,000 ordinary shares representing 27.78% of the total share capital with voting rights of the company.
In February, Cap Z bought out 3i's 25% stake in Jelf.
