Partnership with Europ Assistance gives round the clock protection for mortgate lenders and intermediaries

Cassidy Davis, the specialist personal lines Lloyd’s insurer, has launched a Home Emergency Plan specifically for personal loan and mortgage lenders and intermediaries.

The plan, made available in partnership with Europ Assistance, can be included either as an integral part of a loan or mortgage offering or sold as an optional feature.

It provides 24-hour support and cover for the costs of repairs for a range of unforeseen household emergencies through Europ’s network of vetted and approved repairers.

The product, underwritten by Cassidy Davis at Lloyd’s through Syndicate 5820, with be available for one, two and three year covers at fixed rates, offering lenders and intermediaries "the flexibility to provide a product that dovetails with fixed terms loans," the company said.

Aidan Plumridge, Head of Marketing and Business Development at Cassidy Davis added: "We have been able to achieve a pricing structure that makes it cost effective and provides distributors with a new stream of income.

"We also needed to deliver clients a fast and responsive repair service so Europ Assistance was an obvious choice."

Alongside plumbing and central heating problems, the Plan also provides cover for electrical failure, damage caused by severe weather, burglary or vandalism, failure or damage to locks or windows and pest infestation.
