CBG has confimed it received an approach from Giles Insurance Brokers, as exclusively revealed by insurancetimes.co.uk last week.

The Manchester-based broker said in a stock exchange announcement that the approach may or may not lead to an offer for the firm, but added that it expects any offer to be in cash.

A further announcement will be made in due course, CBG said.
