CCV has hired David Bruce as operations director.

Bruce, who will join CCV in April, is moving from CPP where he focused on international development as the group expansion and development director.

He has previously run the national broker and national accounts division at Norwich Union (now Aviva), RAC’s direct insurance arm and Aviva’s corporate partnerships division.

He was also RSA’s UK chief auditor.

CCV’s executive chairman, Peter Cullum, said: “2011 was another busy year of acquisitions for CCV, with eight deals being completed.

“We have a healthy pipeline of acquisitions in play in 2012 so hiring talented people to help take our business forward is essential and David brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles. I am delighted to welcome him to the CCV management team and indeed into Towergate as we continue to work closely together in our shared ambition to grow our distribution reach in the UK.”

Bruce said: “CCV is one of the most dynamic businesses in the UK insurance market today. It truly believes in enabling the firms that it acquires to achieve their potential and provides them support at all levels to ensure they do. I find the drive and passion of CCV people highly energising and can’t wait to be a part of it.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
