Simpson takes on regional role as Pollard steps up to Just Insurance

Rob Simpson

Rob Simpson has been promoted to the role of regional managing director at CCV, responsible for the central region.

Simpson has led one of CCV’s businesses, Just Insurance, as managing director for the past three years. In that time he has integrated four acquisitions into the business and was named CCV’s Managing Director of the Year last year.

Simpson managed his own broking firm, Insurance Means, for three years prior to selling the business to CCV in 2008. It was integrated into one of CCV’s existing businesses – Moffatt Saunders – where he spent 18 months as a director before being appointed managing director at Just Insurance. His career in the industry spans some 25 years having started at General Accident straight from school.

Simpson said: “I’ve learned more about the world of insurance since joining CCV in 2008 than I did throughout all the previous years of my career. I knew it was the right business to sell to and I haven’t been proved wrong.

“It’s not just a business that believes in enabling the firms that it acquires to achieve their potential, more importantly it believes in allowing its people to develop and supports them as they aspire to fulfil their career aspirations. I can’t wait to get my teeth into this new role.”

Taking up the reins at Just Insurance, Rob Pollard has been appointed managing director. He was business unit director at Towergate Risk Solutions Hertfordshire where he will also now become managing director. He previously held broking roles at Marsh, Bank of Scotland and Bluefin.

CCV’s chief operating officer Graham Barr said: “Rob Simpson has made an outstanding contribution to the business. I’m confident that he will provide tremendous support to the CCV businesses under his area of responsibility. He is leaving Just Insurance in good hands as Rob Pollard brings a wealth of experience to the role and I am confident that the business will continue to not only meet but exceed its targets under his leadership.”
