The school of being nice has opened its doors, and the chief executives are being sent back to school to learn the benefits of good manners.

Backchat was delighted to hear that some industry bigwigs who treated colleagues with a little less respect than they deserved have been given a lesson in how to "be nice".

One employee told Backchat he had witnessed the effects of "nice school" first hand after his boss had graduated with flying colours.

"He came back to the office with a smile," the employee said.

Life at the top is a little easier after a trip to nice boot camp, it seems.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
