Agency to write excess business across product range and regions

Andrew Holmes

Specialist lines underwriting agency CFC has launched an excess underwriting capability.

CFC underwriting director Andrew Holmes said: “CFC has traditionally written business on a primary basis and so we are delighted to be able to respond to requests from our global network of brokers and extend our capability to write excess business. We recognise that accessing quality excess capacity represents a challenge for many of the brokers we work with, particularly regional firms and those overseas.”

He continued: “This move represents a natural extension of our overall proposition and, of course, the brokers we work with on an excess basis will experience the same speed of response and ability to access information quickly and simply as they do on their primary business.”

CFC will write excess business across its entire product range and across all the areas in which its brokers operate including the UK, Europe, North America and Australasia.
